Mission and three shifts required for change
ShiftSweden's mission is to transform transform Sweden, fossil-free and resource-conscious, into attractive and accessible living spaces for all. Three major shifts are required for change:
- From resource-intensive linear construction processes to sustainable and value-creating circular business models.
- From unsustainable transportation to a new freedom reform with competitive alternatives to individual car travel.
- From planning, developing, producing and implementing in silos to innovating by bringing the built environment and mobility into the same system.
We show how
ShiftSweden mobilizes organizations and individuals to create new values through circular business models and through competitive alternatives to individual car travel. We want to integrate the built environment and mobility into a system. Within the program, we show how the transition can take place throughout Sweden in a fossil-free and resource-conscious way.
Transition lab
ShiftSweden's transition labs are exploring, testing and scaling up solutions for the future and shows how transition can be made in practice. Through the lab, we build collective capacity and create conditions for innovating and making an impact at a system level. Connected to each lab is a lab coordinator whose task is to lead, coordinate and inspire all the projects within the same lab.
